Our

origin

To understand the present and future of Bodega Viña Mambrilla, it is imperative to delve into the past. Since its beginnings, we have been part of the founding families of the Ribera del Duero Denomination in 1964, linked to the Roa Cooperative. We are proud to have contributed to the foundations of this distinguished denomination, which today enjoys great recognition in Spain and worldwide.

Our journey began as farmers who cultivated and preserved the lands of our ancestors. As the years went by, the family separated from the cooperative, starting our first independent harvest in 1999. We took advantage of the legendary wisdom accumulated and decided to start our own winery, seeking to capture our essence and pay tribute to our roots.

Black Marble

pre-phylloxera

Our distinctive seal emerges from the past, managing to overcome the adversity of the Phylloxera plague in the 19th century. Very few vineyards in the region have this great heritage. This historical milestone positions us as guardians of the original Ribera del Duero vine, carrying the legacy of pre-phylloxera vines in each bottle.
